We request that the Punching Shear check report in STAAD Foundation Advanced V2024 include a figure that graphically displays the critical perimeter used for verification, as was done in SFA V9, which is scheduled to be discontinued in December of this year.
Currently, the software performs the check without visually representing the perimeter considered, which makes validation and understanding of the analysis more difficult, particularly during technical reviews or audits.
Allows for visual validation of code compliance.
Improves the clarity of the technical report and supports third-party review.
Enhances traceability and confidence in the structural verification process.
The figure should:
Include a top view of the pedestal/column with the critical perimeter (bo) clearly outlined.
Show key dimensions such as effective depth (d), edge distances, and X/Z axes.
Have the option to be automatically integrated into the generated report.
We appreciate your attention to this proposal and look forward to its possible inclusion in future updates of the software.
