Currently after run analysis we can see the status of design in postprocessing. If fail design appear, now we have to edit and rerun all model and check if edition is good or not. When only 5~10% of members fails, and in large models, this is very time consuming.
The idea is to have the analyzed model and local edit one failed member, change a parameter (for instance, LY, UNT, FY), include a reinforcement or change the member section. With this we can anticipate if the new arrangement is useful to pass the design.
After this kind of local edition we can proceed to re-run analysis for forces distribution and reconfirm that the design is good.
Thank you for posting your idea. Yes, this is in our backlog as part of the physical model development. The solution will be separating the analysis and design functions such that provided analysis results are available, then design can be performed at any time on individual or groups of members.
