Along with lacing and battening design, modelling, analysis and design of stepped columns is very necessary (as per IS:800 2007) , because most of warehouse with gantry girder required to be designed with stepped columns
Yew sir, i want lacings and battening element design as per IS800 2007 and should be implemented for Front to front, back to back for channels, angles etc sections......
Thank you for posting this idea. It would help if your description included the details of the requirement. What specification are you looking for the design to meet? Is there a specific document that you can point too? I assume you are expecting it to meet IS800:2007 LSD requirements, but is there a publication that you would STAAD to follow/make use of? Are you thinking that this is for the design of back to back channels, front to front channels, back to back angles, or anything else? Please can you be more specific.
In steel structure with heavily loaded and heavy moment, especially in industrial structure to support heavy gantry/monorail, buil up sections needs to design, staad on support channel with back to back or toe to toe with some spacing , but it isn't design lace/batten, how to design the same??
