Shear Walls with holes RCDC

There are several methods to model shear wall/slab/mat in staad CE, broadly by physical modeller and analytical modeller, as far as the analytical method is considered, slab/mat/shear wall can be modelled through various techniques, like plate element/parametric model/surface cursor etc. Each methods have some advantages and limitations, for example, if we model a lift core wall through parametric modelling option, the salient feature of parametric modelling option is better connectivity to the other slab/beam/adjacent structural members but the limitation is that RCDC doesn't support the "lift core wall with openings", RCDC only support the lift core wall without opening in it, so we demand that we haven't any need to have various options for plate modelling with limitations, we need to have one options that has no major limitation like RCDC doesn't support the shear wall with openings etc..

These shear wall design should be as per IS-456:2000 and IS-13920 or IS-16700

This time, almost all shear walls are with different openings for purpose of doors/windows etc. but RCDC can not read opening in shear wall, RCDC should read and design shear walls for following requirements... 1-Shear wall with opening at same positions 2- shear wall with staggered opening 3- column supported shear wall 4- shear wall covered by columns and beams on its sides and top respectively. 5-beams passes through shear wall at floor levels. 6-shear wall with spandrel beam and piers 7- framed shear wall 8-shear wall with different boundary element configurations (like C,L,BOX etc. 9-core type shear wall. All these walls should be designed in RCDC. Illustrations of these walls are shown in below images....

Thank you for posting this idea. It seems that the request is for the RCDC application to support definitions of shear walls with openings. I have thus changed the title and moved this to the portal for the RCDC project team.

There are several methods to model shear wall/slab/mat in staad CE, broadly by physiscal modeller and analytical modeller, as far as the analytical method is considered, slab/mat/shear wall can be melled through various techniques, like plate element/parametric model/surface cursor etc. Each methods have some advantages and limitations, for example, if we model a lift core wall through parametc modelling option, the salient feature of parametric modelling option is better connectivity to the other slab/beam/adjacent structural members but the limitation is that RCDC doesn't support the "lift core wall with openings", RCDC only support the lift core wall without opening in it, so we demand that we haven't any need to have various options for plate modelling with limitations, we need to have one options that has no major limitation like RCDC doesn't support the shear wall with openings etc.. 2: Also, add feature of modelling waffle/grid and flat slab in parametric model. Thanks....
