Allow teams to have the database file located on a server where multiple STAAD.Pro applications running on different machines can point to.
Would allow modifications made on the database to be accessed by all STAAD.Pro applications that point to that file.
This is different from local file stored on every single machine. Changes made to these local database files are applicable only to that machine's STAAD.Pro application.

Thank you for posting this request. We have a project in our backlog that is to address a number of the limitations that the current database system imposes and this is a good idea to add that project. One important issue that would need to be tackled with such a system though which provides multiple simultaneous user access is management and locking of data when one or more users have initiated an analysis. Clearly when that happens the database may need to be locked to prevent a change taking place in the values being used and potentially making a nonsense of the results.
^ this is a great idea. I have engineer missing missing database files after every update etc.
This will help companies to stay uniform with the most up-to-date sections
