Provision to interchange the local axis of elements in STAAD

Please find the combination of three models by different engineer. Under this when finally local stresses are checked, the contours are not smooth. if by any chance local axis of elements can be change, this will same a valuable time of re modelling.

Ok, even if there is an option to change orientation of group of elements, that will work. While modelling we take care of orientation, but some how if we can change the local axis of groups then, application of Wood AMER for plates will be smooth.

Thank you for posting this idea. Whilst the idea of being able to individually modify the direction of a plate's local access might seem useful, it would potentially be a difficult and awkward system to manage trying to determine the right orientation especially when dealing with surfaces using triangular meshes. A more manageable system is having a consistent axes system for a given surface which is meshed, so no matter what the individual plate local axes is, it should be able to report the results for the defined surface. We have moved in that direction by providing the local surface coordinate system in the Physical Modeller. In due course this system will be used to report plate results.
