Thank you for posting this idea. Design covers both code checking and profile selection. What action would happen under a selection? Are you suggesting that the cover plates remain the same as the base section changes? or the base section remains unchanged as the plates change size? If the latter how are you expecting the plate sizes to change? If the plates are the same size at the start do they change the same on top and bottom or change differently? As you can see this idea needs a little more explanation.
