The "actual ratio" button in postprocessing mode is not working for a lot of users in Subsea7. This button is supposed to re-arrange beam utilizations from default beam number order, to utilization ascending order, and is very helpful.
The problem with this button not working, has been an issue ever since we went from V8i to CONNECT EDITION. Today I got the newest edition 24.00.00.577 installed, and the button still does not work. I suggest that Bentley re-design this button to a drop down box, where the user can choose between beam number order, utilization ascending order, utilization descending order etc... It should be more stable with this design.
As I said, this has been an issue for several years now, and is really starting to be annoying. It also increases the risk of errors. We really like STAAD.Pro as a product, and hope it will stay the same going forward.

Thank you for posting this as an idea. However, what you have described is a behaviour that seems to be unique to your installation. I appreciate that there is an ongoing investigation to determine the root cause of it and I trust a resolution will be forthcoming in due course.
With regard to the idea, I can say that we are looking at generally how data is provided in tables as a general tool and that any column in any table be made as the sorting criteria for the data being displayed. Additionally providing a method to provide filtering and perhaps aggregation is also characteristics that if provided as core capabilities irrespective of the data in the table itself I believe would make managing the data far easier. This is a core principle that is being used for the next evolution of STAAD which is currently underway. I look forward to be able to share more information about this initiative in the coming months.
