In general, Most of PEB companies design the web as Slender members if the project location is in low seismic region. In such cases when we give the design report to consultant for approval, we get comment that web area is considered in calculating bending capacity of slender member but, in STAAD web area is not considered in capacity calculation and is nowhere resemble in output file.

If the Effective Elastic, Plastic Section Modules and beta values are reflected in the member design output file it will be a cakewalk for Engineers for getting approvals.
