In ETABS, there is an option called Interactive Database, which allows the user to export any table to Excel, modify the data as needed, and then re‑import the updated information back into ETABS. This process is simple, user‑friendly, and easy to understand.
I request Bentley to include a similar feature in STAAD, as it would greatly help users work directly with tables. Many times, loads and other input data are already available in Excel, and the ability to paste them directly into an editable Excel‑based database would significantly reduce errors compared to modifying the command file manually.
