In most projects, equal angle sections are commonly used. However, the current section database includes a combined list of both equal and unequal angle sections under the same category. To improve workflow efficiency, we request that these be separated into distinct categories. This will help ensure smoother and more accurate selection during design and detailing.
Thank you for posting this idea. I assume you mean to have separate tables for equal and unequal angles. With the older legacy databases that was not possible, but with the new standard databases that can be done. As the Indian publication publishes the data in two tables, there are two tables in the Indian database. In the US, the AISC publish all the angles as a single type. However, you can easily create additional tables in any database, or create your own with only the profiles you want to be included.
